Ashtavargam kashayam has carminative, laxative, anti- inflammatory, analgesic, antirheumatic actions. It is used in rheumatic conditions, pain in limbs, back, pelvis, flanks and epigastrium due to accumulation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract.
